Hiking the trails of Yosemite National Park we came across Mirror Lake beautifully reflecting the trees and mountains surrounding it – and Zack too 🙂
The trip through Death Valley was adventurous to say the least. A sandstorm blocked our path for a couple of hours and the heat and wind were intense. The sand dunes and colourful rock formations, however, made this experience well worth it.
Wow, Grand Canyon is stunning! Its sheer size is overwhelming and the sunset simply magnificent. We didn’t get too close to the edge though, cause, wow, this is a long way down!
Just gotta be proper tourists and pose in front of the Hollywood sign when in LA 🙂
Exploring Monterey and its lovely beaches and clear blue sea. We approve!
What a view! The Golden Gate Bridge is quite the sight. Just try not to get blown into the sea. The plus side to the strong winds: no fog 🙂
Skyline, High Line and a new friend – what a start to our big journey through the US!
After a year full of exploring a variety of places and countries, full of adventure and plenty of things to see, we’re spending a quiet Christmas at home at our little house. Merry Christmas everyone!
Speicherstadt, the historic warehouse district that is part of the port of Hamburg has got a lot to offer, including good and strong coffee – not a given in Germany, as we discovered along the way.
Next stop: Amsterdam, wet and windy, yet charming. We couldn’t resist joining the crowds of Pokémon hunters and ventured from WiFi-hotspot to WiFi hotspot, from bridge to bridge, through Vondelpark and past the famous “Iamsterdam” letters in search of the city’s sights and the sought after creatures.
The first stop on our Germany road trip: Köln. We couldn’t have had a nicer evening to arrive and enjoy the view of Kölner Dom.
