Hiking the trails of Yosemite National Park we came across Mirror Lake beautifully reflecting the trees and mountains surrounding it – and Zack too 🙂
The trip through Death Valley was adventurous to say the least. A sandstorm blocked our path for a couple of hours and the heat and wind were intense. The sand dunes and colourful rock formations, however, made this experience well worth it.
Wow, Grand Canyon is stunning! Its sheer size is overwhelming and the sunset simply magnificent. We didn’t get too close to the edge though, cause, wow, this is a long way down!
Exploring Monterey and its lovely beaches and clear blue sea. We approve!
We were lucky enough to have stunning weather on this trip around the crystal clear Gosausee. We absolutely loved the green and turquoise colours of this mountain lake.
This is a lovely little town at the Austrian Hallstättersee, set beautifully between mountains directly at the refreshingly cold lake. We took the funicular railway up the salt mountain to enjoy the view and learn how salt has been mined there since almost forever. A valley behind the town features a waterfall and plenty of opportunities to get lost (literally)...
A lovely Japanese garden in the heart of Tokyo that was built in the Edo period and survived to this day. It features two lakes, a rice field, plum and cherry trees as well as the famous maple trees.
Strolling through Nara park on our way to Kasuga Taisha, we made friends with the local deer. Unlike the ones on Miyajima, they did not try to eat Tina’s bag. Despite the warning signs we did not get knocked down either and made it to the shrine and its hundreds of lanterns in one piece. We did need a map...
A gorgeous day in a gorgeous place! Japan is very beautiful in fall, especially when the sun is out, like here in Arashiyama, a good half hour from central Kyoto.
A path across bridges, rocks and roots next to lovely waterfalls. Just beware the dangerous cliffs!
Not far from the city centre we found the wonderful Epping Forest. It couldn’t be more different from the buzzing city – a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature!
